Discovery
Filters eligible adults using the current profile, audience choices, distance, visibility, availability and member controls. In Private, eligible nearby adults can appear in a list and on a privacy-shifted approximate map. A precise public location is never shown.
Compatibility
Uses preferences and optional answers to support more relevant introductions. It is a decision aid, not a guarantee, a diagnosis, or a ranking of a person’s worth.
Profile boundaries
Social: find your people, make plans. Dating: meet with intention, never by default. Private: discover discreetly, connect on your terms. Your name and your age travel with you. Everything else is built per Side: its own photos, its own bio, its own interests, its own answers, who can find you there, and what you hear about. Your Private gallery stays in Private and never shows up anywhere else.
Activities and events
OutSide is available under Social, Dating and Private when relevant. Each plan keeps the audience, purpose, visibility and privacy rules of the profile being used.
Questions and prompts
Prompts help members explain intent, availability, values and boundaries in the profile where those answers belong. A Dating answer does not become a Social answer, and a Private answer does not become public by default.
Conversation controls
Mutual matches, direct introductions, Private requests, unread state, request filtering, and a clock on every new conversation: two days to start it, two days to reply, then it closes.
Trust and safety
Age eligibility, verification state, blocking, reporting, spam filtering, trusted contacts and time-limited safety check-ins, inside the experience. SideOf does not replace emergency services.
Privacy and location
Account-level and profile-level visibility choices are applied before age, city, approximate distance or map presence appears. Location controls are designed to fail closed when eligibility or visibility cannot be established.
