One person.
Three profiles.

Friends. Dates. Private connections. Three distinct profiles, so you decide who sees each side of you.

The three profiles

Every side of you, kept apart.

Social starts on. Dating and Private are set up separately, by you, when you want them. A conversation on one profile is never permission on another.

The idea

The idea

You are more than one profile.

Friends. Dates. A private life.

Each one gets its own room.

You decide who is in it.

And nothing you do in one room opens another.

That is SideOf. One account, so age eligibility, blocking and reporting stay tied to you. Three profiles, so the people you meet as a friend, a date or an adult never get mixed up, and never get access they were not given.

How it is built

The Safety and Boundary System.

Safety is not a settings page and not a paid tier. It is the architecture the three profiles run on.

Three profiles, hard walls

Your name and your age travel with you. Everything else is built per Side: its own photos, its own bio, its own questions, who can find you there, and what you hear about. Your Private gallery stays in Private and never shows up anywhere else.

Contact starts with a request

Seeing someone is not the same as reaching them. Mutual matches, direct introductions and Private requests each have their own request controls.

Approximate location only

Discovery can be local without publishing where you are. In Private, nearby adults appear on a privacy-shifted approximate map. A precise public location is never shown.

Opt-in, never assumed

Dating and Private are separate setups. Existing Social or Dating connections do not receive Private access.

Fail closed

Age, city, approximate distance and map presence appear only after account-level and profile-level visibility choices are checked. When eligibility cannot be established, location stays hidden.

Safety stays free

Blocking, reporting, spam filtering, trusted contacts and time-limited check-ins are part of the account, not the upgrade. A missed check-in alerts a trusted contact who is on SideOf, in the app, at no cost; reaching someone who is not on SideOf, or texting a phone number, comes with SideOf+. SideOf does not replace emergency services.

If an intimate image of you appears on SideOf without your consent, you can ask us to remove it without signing in or creating an account.

Plans and activities

The plan belongs to the profile.

OutSide is where plans live. Each one keeps the audience, purpose, visibility and privacy rules of the profile it was made in.

Friendship, community, group plans, shared interests and everyday activities with people using Social.

Dating OutSide

Plans made inside Dating — dinner, drinks, something outdoors, something to do — seen only by people using Dating.

Private OutSide

Adult-only plans that exist only inside Private. The host approves who comes, the guest list is never shown, and the exact place is never in the listing.

Where it stands

Member access is open. DMV area first.

Member access is open on the web app. Adults 18 and over. We are opening in the DMV area first.

SideOf is free, and ad-free for everyone during the founding period. When ads return, they'll be plain and non-personalized, shown only on Social and Dating — never in Private, never in messages. SideOf+ keeps ads off and adds control: more than one Side open at once, tighter discovery, more direct introductions. It will never sell safety. There is no paid ranking, and nobody can pay to get past your boundaries.

Diligence materials are available to boards, lenders and grant programs through LIBRASIDE TECHNOLOGIES.
